• Tenders are invited for Services of a Legal Firm to Provide General Legal Support and Advice to the Organization. HI Mission seeks the services of a Legal Firm to provide general legal support and advice to the organization based on the South Sudan, International Humanitarian and Human Right laws in matters such as contracts in respect to labor and employment, separation; taxation; and arbitration, notwithstanding criminal and civil cases, Procurement, and Organization programs. The Firm must be able to anticipate legal challenges and seek to prevent HI from incurring liability and avoidable costs. In this connection, the firm will be required to draft legal opinions as and when needed, advice management on a range of legal issues as and when required. The firm shall also defend the organization against claims by third parties and represent its legal interests upon any type of case. In line with the global strategy and in order to better ensure a legal representation on any matters related to HI, HI decided to seek services a competent and well registered individual or law firm who meets all criteria of law practices to apply for legal service with HI South Sudan mission. Specific Requirements: The service provider shall perform the following tasks: Advise whether all the proceedings of the organization comply with the requirements of the legislation; Analyze and research the implication of laws, legislation, etc., that may affect the organization. Reviews all documents and provide legal assistance while dealing with legal tasks such as litigations, contracts, organization policies dispute resolution and guide the organization on taking an appropriate decision, ensuring minimum legal exposure and liability to the organization; Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case, and be able to formulate the best possible legal solution after analyzing the legal problem in depth; Be actively involved in preparing & drafting of different acts and legal submissions including drafting of the authoritative legal opinions; Advise HI concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations. Represents the organization in all legal proceedings/hearings; and to provide advice on different legal issues and assist in recommending/drafting legal opinions, memoranda and other briefing documents. Be able to respond immediately to legal issues brought by HI and provide legal opinions and advice. Technical Qualification/Requirement: Must be a registered entity with the Government of South Sudan Must be a regular Tax Payer Must be a Member in good standing with the Republic of South Sudan Government Lawyers within a firm should be license covered by the firm or individual lawyers must be a holder of a Profession License
