Description:
Tenders are invited for National Assessment of the Situation of Education in South Sudan. The consultancy will have three main objectives: 1. To develop the methodology (including tools and Identifying the most context-appropriate approach) for the national assessment of the situation of education in South Sudan; 2. In conducting the assessment of the situation of education and prioritizing counties for response (focus on school functionality, enrolment, school facilities, access to learning material and a few other indicators related to COVID-19 may be added); 3. Developing the first draft of Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO) based on needs assessment findings and FSNMS+ data in coordination with Cluster Coordination Unit. Technical guidance provided to Cluster Unit on most context-appropriate methodology for the assessment. Output: Assessment proposal and methodology. Context- and needs-relevant assessment tools (questionnaires, data input matrix, dataset, training of enumerators) are updated and approved. Data is collected, cleaned and analysed (dataset available). One validation workshop is conducted at the national level to analyze findings. An assessment report is prepared; a PowerPoint summarizing key findings and policy recommendations is available for presentation to education sector stakeholders, i.e., donors, Ministry of Education, and partners. First draft of HNO 2022 developed and shared with Education Cluster Strategic Advisory Group (SAG)
